This look is all about the cut and shape of the material. Keep everything else simple and let the clothes do the talking. This summer turn up the volume and wear it loud and wear it proud!

Trend Focus: Preppy

This summer it’s time to go back to school for some serious style cred…

preppy.jpg21.jpg

This spring/summer the catwalks were awash with cute blazers, full skirts, floral blouses, shirts and beaten leather satchels. Luella featured the preppy look strongly and even had fun by adding glasses and pig tails to their models. Take inspiration from the oh-so English Henley regatta and the girls of St.Trinian’s, and show you really are too cool for school…

Trend Focus: The New Bohemian

      bohemian-3.jpg          couture-2.jpg

Pictures/photo shoot by Vogue. Clothes by Balmain and Balenciaga. To see their feature ‘Spring Forward’ buy the February 2008 issue out now.

With Christmas finally over and the New Year in full swing its time to look at the key trends…

Catwalks were awash with pretty florals, soft chiffons and quirky accessories. The New Bohemian incorporates all these elements for a look that’s effortlessly cool and eccentrically English. Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli and Stella McCartney all rocked this look down the Spring/Summer ‘08 runways. But if, like me, your budget doesn’t stretch that far there are some great high street alternatives….
